DZUS / (DASEIN ZU SAMHAIN) is een collectieve soundscape die Michaël Liberg maakte tijdens AlbaNova Festival 2015, samen met 3 'klankreporters' die allerlei geluiden op het festival opnamen.

Be there to gather
Be here together
DZUS is a twenty-one minutes piece, which was composed by myself in the week following the performance Soundscape in the Field during the Alba Nova festival in the magnificent surroundings of the Landcommanderij Alden Biesen in Bilzen. It is a result of a collective process of gathering sounds throughout the festival and the surroundings combined with my own personal inner soundscape. Most of the sounds you will hear in this sonic journey, for example echoes of concerts, Nature, talking and the wind, were gathered during the Alba Nova festival by Rachel Laget, Jan Vanlommel and Carl Martel. I would like to thank them deeply for the incredible sounds they recorded on that special day. I would also like to thank Gilles Helsen for his precious help and presence and all the people who make up the great teams of Musica and Alden Bilzen.
Last but not least, I would like to give credit to all the great artists and musicians who have been captured as part of this piece through the sensitive ears of microphones. The sound fugue which results gathers them all together in a big polyphony, in a same place, genius loci. A big Samhain. Dasein Zu Sahmain is an attempt to build a universe that doesn’t fall apart twenty minutes later.
Soundscape in the Field is a part of a new performance cycle, the Inner Chapel Initiative. The I.C.I. is a research project, a network of complex interactions between all of ∑ichaë山iberG creative activities: music, video, photo, poetry, essays and visual
I would like to dedicate this piece to Tilly Celis and to all the people that still believe today that a No is a No.
